Sometimes you need to reach the entire access community on a particular day, or within a particular issue of Access Information News.
Maybe you're launching a new product or service that day, or promoting an upcoming event or fundraiser.
This has traditionally been very difficult to do, even for sponsors, who are the only ones that could do so in the past, by scheduling one of their Featured Advertisements for a particular issue date. Something they will continue to be able to do. But this did not help anyone else.
That said, we have heard you loud and clear that everyone in the access community, not just sponsors, would like the opportunity to reach the Access Information News audience as needed. But we had to do our research to make sure that we could solve this problem intelligently, without affecting any of the benefits that readers or sponsors currently enjoy.
This is the primary reason that we launched this feature for the Top Tech Tidbits publication in February of 2023. We have been testing it ever since.
Sponsored News Items will work just like Sponsored Tidbits and will be priced the same for both Sponsors ($25) and Non Sponsors ($50).
➜ Anyone can now run a Sponsored News Item in any issue of AIN for just $50 USD by filling out this short form.
➜ Sponsors can now run a Sponsored News Item in any issue of AIN for just $25 USD by filling out this same short form.
All Sponsored News Items will be placed as numbered news items at the very top of each issue, just below the #1 news item titled "Top 5 Most Clicked Access Information News Articles From Last Week," and will always indicate that they are Sponsored, and who they have been sponsored by.
Readers will be able to skip these news items just like any other news item, but if they are interested in what your Sponsored News Items has to say, it will give those that need it the ability to reach the Access Information News audience when they need to. Whether they are a sponsor or not.
So while you still cannot use the advertising platforms of Google, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or TikTok to get your message out to the access community specifically, you can now use Sponsored News Items to do so at a fraction of the cost. And you can rest assured that your audience will always be specific to access information.
Although it was discussed at length and in depth there was simply no way that we could offer this service for free. Making Sponsored News Items free would have simply filled the newsletter with ads that no one wanted to read. And the very same would happen if the price were too low. So we had to put a price in place that made sense for the size of the audience that an advertiser would reach with their Sponsored News Item, while providing Access Information News readers with only the highest quality submissions from these advertisers. Something that our data has shown this pricing model to do.
So what, exactly, do you get, when you purchase a Sponsored News Item? You get scheduled, measurable access to the second most-visited position that the Access Information Newsletter has to offer. Sponsors and their Featured Advertisements will always come first in every issue. Sponsored News Items will be placed, in the order they are received that week, just under the #1 news item, which is always titled, "Top 5 Most Clicked Access Information News Articles From Last Week". Each Sponsored News Item will be clearly prefixed with the phrase "Sponsored By:" so that readers can easily distinguish it from editorial news items.
